The European Summer School on Bio-based Composites (ESBBC) is back for its second edition. It is a unique event for master students, PhD students and young researchers working on bio-based composites. For three days, come and learn, exchange and share about this multidisciplinary scientific field that fascinates and inspires us.
After a first remote edition organised by the FEMTO-ST Institute of the University of Franche-Comté in Besançon, you are invited to Tarbes, in the Hautes-Pyrénées, this time. The Laboratoire Génie de Production (LGP) welcomes you in its premises and offers you a rich and varied programme: doctoral courses, flash presentations and visits to the textile workshops will punctuate this summer school.
Social activities will be organised to allow all participants to exchange and create links with the actors of the biosourced composites field. In particular, the day of August 30 will take place at the Pic du Midi de Bigorre. The Pic du Midi de Bigorre is well known for its astronomical observatory and television relay station at its summit (2,876 metres). In the morning, a visit of the scientific installations will be proposed, and in the afternoon a conference will be held in the observatory.
